I got to spend a Sunday afternoon with the Miller family. It was a bright and sunny day. They have a big backyard, perfect for photographing! The sun was already starting to set so it made for some beautiful light. Jon and Nichole have 2 children, Lillibelle and Zeke. Lillibelle was showing me her tricycle and Zeke was hamming it up in front of the camera! The kids were lively and very photogenic. I couldn’t ask for a better family to photograph.
Everyday I come home from work, I am greeted with a huge smile and hug from my son. It is the best feeling in the world after a long day. Today I went outside to fire up the grill and a special someone followed me out. Briar loves the outdoors and playing in the dirt just like all little boys. As the storm clouds started to come around, Briar decided to help water mommy’s flowers (or what’s left of them). He can’t really work the hose, though he knows how to, his fingers just can’t squeeze the handle hard enough. Afterwards he reached into his outdoor toybox for his popper. Just then the rains came and indoors we went.
So this is my 2nd Father’s Day as a Dad! And it has been a great 15 months. Briar is walking like crazy (and getting into everything) as well as babbling your ear off. Right now his favorite past time besides books is ripping out flowers (and weeds). He is my special little guy and I love him to pieces!

My brother Tim and his wife Jess are expecting. This is great news! When they went to their ultrasound, they instructed the doctor not to tell them the sex of the baby but to write it down and put it in a sealed envelope. Then gave that envelope to my Mom to give to a bakery. A bakery? Yes, a bakery. They were to make a cake with dyed vanilla cake – blue, it’s a boy and pink, it’s a girl. On May 29 the time came to have the party for the cake cutting. Friends and family were all in attendance to see what color the cake would be.

And it’s a…

GIRL!!!!!

Congrats on your little girl Tim & Jess. Hope Lynn Dunbar!
Briar loves cords and anything electronic. So I decided to one day give him my old Apple mouse. It came from my old G4 iMac. He totes it around everywhere now. At times he will just stop and gaze at it’s beauty. It’s amazing to think how far he has come in such a short amount of time. BTW the black blob on the left is my wife’s hair. I was shooting over her shoulder.
