I took these photos of Briar while photographing the Finleys at AGA Farms.

Everyday I come home from work, I am greeted with a huge smile and hug from my son. It is the best feeling in the world after a long day. Today I went outside to fire up the grill and a special someone followed me out. Briar loves the outdoors and playing in the dirt just like all little boys. As the storm clouds started to come around, Briar decided to help water mommy’s flowers (or what’s left of them). He can’t really work the hose, though he knows how to, his fingers just can’t squeeze the handle hard enough. Afterwards he reached into his outdoor toybox for his popper. Just then the rains came and indoors we went.

I’m fortunate to have a large park behind my development. There are walking paths, dog parks, baseball & soccer fields as well as a BMX course. Today we took a stroll.

First off, I have to give credit where credit is do. I am a HUGE fan of Paula O’Hara. You should definitely check her out. Every image she produces is a masterpiece. When I saw her post of “My addiction I knew I had to get that cute shirt for Briar! The shirt is a hand-stiched tee from Amy Tangerine. So I went to her site and placed an order. A week or two later she emailed back saying it was on the way! When it finally arrived I couldn’t believe the craftsmanship that went into this shirt. It truly is a treasure. So thank you Amy for making such a great product and thank you Paula for showing me this great, fun shirt.

So this is my 2nd Father’s Day as a Dad! And it has been a great 15 months. Briar is walking like crazy (and getting into everything) as well as babbling your ear off. Right now his favorite past time besides books is ripping out flowers (and weeds). He is my special little guy and I love him to pieces!
